DIRECTOR OF SALES needed! Fully remote ideally in NYC area. Open to Boston as well. Base $200k - $220k and OTE up to $370k uncapped. First sales hire in the US, potential to turn into player/coach and build a team once you've proven yourself. Must have strong experience selling enterprise software into hedge funds and/or asset managers with a strong network. Must be a self starter, ideally with some experience selling a new product.

Our client is a leading provider of cloud-native technology solutions designed for asset managers and hedge funds to optimize mission-critical functions, seamlessly integrating investment data directly into operational workflows. Their products streamline processes, enhance data access, and drive growth through automated, integrated workflows.

Job Description: As the Sales Director, your primary focus will be identifying, engaging, and closing new business opportunities. You will play a critical role in building and executing strategies to win new customers, expand market presence, and contribute to Go-To-Market (GTM) success.

This is a high-impact, individual contributor role (with potential to build a team) that requires exceptional sales skills, a deep understanding of the sales process, and a passion for closing deals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Acquisition:
o Own the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, with a relentless focus on bringing in new customers.
o Identify and target key decision-makers (e.g., COOs, CFOs) in target industries, e.g., hedge funds, asset management.
o Develop and execute strategies to penetrate new accounts.

• Pipeline Management:
o Build, manage, and maintain a robust sales pipeline to ensure consistent deal flow and revenue growth.
o Track and report on sales metrics, forecasts, and performance.

• Engagement & Relationship Building:
o Develop strong, consultative relationships with potential clients, understanding their challenges and positioning the firm as the solution.
o Deliver compelling presentations, product demos, and proof-of-concept (POC) pitches to prospective customers.

• Collaboration & Strategy:
o Work closely with marketing, product, and implementation teams to refine messaging, align on GTM strategies, and ensure seamless handoff post-sale.
o Provide feedback to internal teams on market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.

• Execution Excellence:
o Meet and exceed sales targets and quotas while maintaining the highest levels of professionalism and customer focus.
o Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies to refine sales strategies.

Requirements:

• Proven Sales Track Record:
o 10+ years of B2B sales experience, with a demonstrated history of winning new clients and exceeding revenue targets. Experience in industry, e.g., Buy-side SaaS sales is highly preferred.

• Exceptional Sales Skills:
o Strong ability to identify and engage decision-makers, craft tailored solutions, and close complex deals.
o Expertise in managing the end-to-end sales process, including discovery, POCs, negotiations, and contracts.

• Strategic Thinker:
o Ability to develop and execute sales strategies that align with company goals and GTM plans.

• Customer-Centric Approach:
o Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to understand client pain points and position solutions effectively.

• Excellent Communication:
o Polished verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver impactful presentations and proposals.

• Self-Starter:
o Highly motivated and driven to achieve results in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

• CRM Proficiency:
o Experience using tools like HubSpot, or similar CRM platforms to manage pipelines and reporting.
