About the Role

FOUNDING SALES DIRECTOR needed at one of our Analytics SaaS STARTUP clients! Hybrid 2- 3x per week in office in NYC only. Base $100k - $150k x2 OTE. Chance to be the first sales hire with the possibility for the role to evolve into a leadership position down the road and for you to build a team around you. Must have experience selling enterprise SaaS into hedge funds. True hunters only and not looking for current CROs or Heads of Sales. Open to junior and mid level candidates.

Our client provides software and consulting services that help hedge funds manage risk, evaluate performance, and communicate more effectively with investors. Their platform integrates seamlessly with back-office and order management systems to deliver real-time risk and performance analytics in one intuitive application. They’re reshaping how investment managers understand and communicate risk — clearly, transparently, and in real time.

The Opportunity

As Founding Sales Director, you’ll be the first dedicated sales hire — a key player in building and scaling their go-to-market function. You’ll work directly with the CEO and leadership team to define their sales strategy, establish repeatable processes, and drive new business with hedge funds and asset managers. This is a rare opportunity to help shape a fast-growing fintech company from the ground up.

Responsibilities:

- Build and execute a targeted sales strategy to drive new client acquisition across hedge funds and asset managers.
- Own the full sales cycle — from prospecting and lead generation to closing and onboarding.
- Develop strong relationships with portfolio managers, COOs, risk officers, and investor relations teams.
- Collaborate with the product team to communicate client needs and influence roadmap priorities.
- Create scalable sales playbooks, pipelines, and forecasting models.
- Represent the firm at key industry events and in client meetings.
- Help shape and grow the early sales team as the company scales.

Qualifications:

- 2 - 10 years of experience in Enterprise B2B SaaS sales selling to hedge funds and asset managers.
- Enterprise Sales experience - deals averaging $150k+.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and managing complex enterprise sales cycles.
- Strong buy side network ideal
- Entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable in a fast-moving, high-growth startup environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with senior financial executives.
- Based in or able to commute to NYC 2–3x per week.
