About the Role
FULL STACK ENGINEER needed at one our our Investment Technology STARTUP clients! Remote anywhere in the US, Canada or London. Base/total comp anywhere from $150k - $250k based on experience and location plus EQUITY. Must have strong experience with Python and Django and experience using AI tools would be advantageous. Ideally experience within the investment technology space but not a hard requirement. This is a full time salaried role - no C2C/contractors! Visa sponsorship not available.
Our client was founded to modernize a $1.5 trillion finance sector that technology left behind. They specialize in front office solutions for CLO & BSL managers and solutions for all teams within private credit markets. They are building a modern, cloud-based platform, using artificial intelligence (since before it was cool) to make traders superhuman. They can use the natural language and slang they are already familiar with and be alerted to profitable trading opportunities they otherwise would have missed. Every second of delay causes stress while negotiating a $50 million trade, so everything must be robust and realtime-fast.
They are looking for developers who are smart, humble, hardworking, and intellectually curious. Market expertise is not required, but the ideal candidate will be self-motivated by this unique opportunity to push the frontiers of technology in the capital markets. Day to day work will focus on full stack engineering in python/django. You must able to take business requirements and write front end code, back end code, understand when you might need to optimize a DB query, and judiciously use prompt engineering where it makes sense. Their current team of three developers handles 49 demanding institutional clients, so keeping the quality bar very high is important.
The ideal candidate will have:
• 5+ years of web software development experience using Python and Django
• Strong knowledge of computer science algorithms
• Strong knowledge/experience of AWS
• An intuitive sense for high quality product design, and the determination to achieve it
• Some background or strong interest in artificial intelligence
• Excellent written communication skills
