About the Role

HEAD OF APAC SOLUTIONS ENGINEERING needed in Hong Kong at one of my OMS/PMS clients! Around $1.6M HKD base with 50% target variable on top.

As the Regional Head of Solution Engineering, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the entire pre-sales cycle, covering functional, operational, and technical support activities to prospective clients and existing customers within the APAC region.

You will lead a team of trusted advisors, providing consultative resources to both internal (e.g., Sales, Product, Account Management, etc.) and external stakeholders. Your role will be pivotal in driving new business from prospective and existing customer accounts within their respective territory, as well as meeting and/or exceeding all sales quotas to achieve revenue goals.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Lead the regional solutions engineering function and maintain high standards of business acumen and domain expertise within the team.
• Deliver high-quality product demonstrations, effectively articulate the firm's value propositions and adapting to potential client objections with customized solutions.
• Work closely with the regional sales team to implement the go-to-market strategy and achieve the regional revenue target.
• Execute global initiatives within the solutions engineer organization and provide insightful feedback on regional nuances to the global solutions engineer leadership.
• Supervise inter-departmental processes and procedures to facilitate a seamless client experience from sales to onboarding.
• Establish a robust documentation system and culture to capture all aspects during the pre-sales cycle including client requirements and potential product gaps.
• Collaborate with the product team to communicate regional requirements and provide data-driven insights on client needs, industry trends, and the competitive landscape.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• 15+ years of relevant experience specifically in the financial software industry.
• Proven track record of managing a team with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in the financial markets industry is mandatory (buy side preferred).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
• A working understanding of buy-side front-to-back workflow preferred.
• Sales or pre-sales experience in financial software industry preferred.
• Understanding of MEDDPICC or related sales training.
