OPERATIONS/TRADE ASSISTANT NEEDED at $3B+ PE Firm with embedded $400m hedge fund in Boston On site role only 2 - 3 days per week. Base $125k - $150k plus bonus. 3 - 5 years experience. Must have experience with OMS like Eze or preferably Enfusion.

Job Description
Our client is looking for a hard-working, team-oriented, meticulous, and flexible professional with 3-5 years of experience in the investment industry, with a core focus on trade operations relating to publicly traded small and mid-cap equities and listed equity options. The successful candidate will join a small, but high performing Finance / Operations team responsible for supporting all operational aspects across all private funds managed by the firm, including a biotech focused hedge fund, managed account and venture capital funds, some of which include a publicly traded sleeve investing along-side the other public markets funds and accounts.

The position will report to the firm’s CFO, and work closely with the Outsourced CFO responsible for the hedge fund and other publicly traded accounts. In addition, this role works closely with the Co-Managing Partner responsible for all public market trading and portfolio management. This role will also liaison with the compliance team, OMS/PMS provider, prime brokers, outsourced trading desk, and external fund administrators, while supporting the operational needs of all public market trading activities of the firm.


Core Responsibilities:
Assist CFO and others in managing day-to-day oversight and responsibilities of the firm’s public trading operations, including, but not limited to:
• Daily trade processing and allocations across all accounts
• Daily cash and securities reconciliations across all accounts
• Maintenance and oversight of the newly implemented OMS/PMS system (Enfusion)
• Processing and coordination of corporate actions, proxy voting and dividends (as needed)
• Daily coordination with fund administrators and trading counterparties to resolve trade operations related issues
• Prepare daily flash PnL and Exposure/Risk reports for hedge fund and other accounts
• Perform data integrity reviews and reconciliations for portfolio data (transaction, position,
valuation, performance)
• Prepare regular performance, attribution, exposure, and other reporting for distribution internally
and to investors
• Prepare monthly commission analysis reports
• Assist with monthly fund expense calculations and allocations
• Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting requirements
• Provide support for the annual audit and tax processes, working closely with finance team and
outside providers as necessary
• Liaison with firm compliance team relating to all public trading activities
• Prepare for review/approval expense payments and cash transfers across brokerage and cash
accounts
• Assist with reviewing monthly investor reporting
• Ensure all operational processes and procedures are fully documented and updated regularly
• Other operational, recordkeeping, and data processing assignments as determined
• Support investor relations team in meeting ongoing due diligence related requests


Requirements:
• Minimum 3 plus years of experience across a trade and fund operations responsibilities
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Strong knowledge of trading operations, with target focus on equities and listed options trading
• Complete understanding of trade settlement process across global markets for equities
• General knowledge of private investment fund reporting required
• Working knowledge with Enfusion (preferred) or other OMS/PMS software is required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills that foster open communication with colleagues and service providers
• Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
• Detail oriented and ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines while learning quickly
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong technical skills and advanced working knowledge of excel required
• Working knowledge of databasing and/or programming preferred
• Ability to demonstrate initiative and to critically analyze policies, procedures, processes, and
workflows for continuous improvement
