Sales Engineer/Solutions Consultant needed! NYC and London. $150k - $180k base x2 OTE!!!!!!!!!! This kind of comp for this role does not come along often. Must know derivatives, margin, clearing, collateral management, etc. very well!
My client is a cutting-edge technology company specializing in providing innovative solutions for the financial industry. Their advanced software services enhance front office trade decisions with visibility and analytics of post trade costs and also provide post trade optimization and estimation tools for treasury and operations.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Sales Engineer you will play a pivotal role in driving sales efforts by combining your technical expertise with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills. You will work closely with the sales and product teams to understand client needs, demonstrate the capabilities of their solutions and ensure successful implementation.
Technical Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of their products and their technical intricacies. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and market developments to effectively position their solutions.
Solution Demonstration: Collaborate with the sales team to present technical product demonstrations tailored to the specific needs of prospective clients. Showcase how their technology can address their challenges and contribute to their success.
Client Consultation: Engage in pre-sales discussions with potential clients to understand their requirements and pain points. Provide consultative guidance on how the solutions can align with their business goals.
Proof of Concept (PoC) Development: Collaborate with clients to design and execute PoCs that illustrate the value proposition of their solutions. Drive successful PoC outcomes to win over client confidence.
Collaboration: Work closely with the product management and development teams to communicate client feedback, identify enhancement opportunities, and contribute to the product roadmap.
Sales Support: Assist the sales team in responding to technical inquiries, RFPs, and RFIs. Provide accurate and timely technical information to help address client concerns.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related discipline).
- Proven experience in a technical sales, sales engineering, or related role within the financial technology sector.
- Strong grasp of financial markets, trading operations, derivatives and collateral management/margin
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to find innovative solutions to client challenges.
