HEAD OF AI DEPLOYMENT needed at one of our Agentic AI STARTUP clients! Hybrid 3x per week in NYC only. Base $220k - $275k with 25 - 30% target bonus and EQUITY. Must have 10+ years of experience in B2B enterprise product, fintech, or applied AI, with at least 3 years leading a delivery, outcomes, or forward-deployed team. Must also have fluency with GenAI LLMs and agentic workflows.
Our client develops autonomous AI agents that eliminate the repetitive, manual work slowing down financial institutions. Their technology supports credit, investment, ESG, and compliance workflows for leading asset managers, PE firms and investment banks.
The Head of AI Deployment leads the team responsible for turning real client problems into deployed AI solutions. This is a senior leadership role that combines strategic direction-setting with hands-on client engagement owning our deployment methodology, building and developing the Outcomes function, and serving as executive sponsor on accounts. The role requires deep product and AI fluency, strong people leadership, and the ability to operate with authority in complex enterprise environments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, hire, and develop the Outcomes team setting the standard for craft, client ownership, and accountability across all engagements.
- Own and continuously evolve the outcomes operating model, including pod structure, engagement playbooks, KPI frameworks, and quality standards.
- Serve as executive sponsor on strategic accounts, building C-suite and MD-level relationships at top financial institutions and overseeing multi-threaded engagements.
- Lead discovery on the most complex client engagements mapping end-to-end workflows, identifying highest-value AI opportunities, and driving MVPs to real, measurable usage.
- Synthesize patterns across the client portfolio into reusable product components and feed clear direction into the product roadmap.
- Partner with Sales and Product Engineering to translate field learnings into platform capabilities and identify expansion opportunities across accounts.
- Define and report on success metrics for the Outcomes function — usage, adoption, client impact, and team performance to senior leadership.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in B2B enterprise product, fintech, or applied AI, with at least 3 years leading a delivery, outcomes, or forward-deployed team.
- Proven track record building products from 0→1 and leading teams to drive real, sustained client adoption and measurable impact.
- Executive presence with the ability to own C-suite relationships and steer complex enterprise engagements at large financial institutions.
- Hands-on fluency with GenAI LLMs, agentic workflows, rapid prototyping, and evaluation design with the ability to operate as a player-coach.
- Strong people leadership: demonstrated ability to hire, develop, and retain high-performing builders in a fast-moving environment.
- Domain knowledge in financial services workflows (credit, investing, research, portfolio monitoring, or ESG) and familiarity with financial data ecosystems such as Bloomberg or FactSet.
- Background in investment banking, private credit, asset management, consulting, or a fintech or AI startup in a senior product or delivery role.
