



SALES DIRECTORS needed at one of our clients that provides full front to back office solutions for the entire buy and sell sides. Hybrid 3x per week in NYC highly preferred but open to remote anywhere in the US for an A++++ player. Base $175k - $200k+ x2 OTE with strong potential to go way above that. Must have experience selling OMS/PMS/EMS, Risk or other relevant solutions to the buy or sell sides, ideally both.
Our client is a global financial technology company delivering mission-critical trading, portfolio management, and risk solutions to institutional investors and capital markets participants worldwide. Their platform supports sophisticated front-office workflows across execution, portfolio construction, analytics, compliance, and risk management for hedge funds, asset managers, banks, and trading firms.
With a growing global client base and a modern SaaS platform built for scale, they are expanding their commercial team in New York City and seeking an experienced Sales Director to help accelerate growth across the institutional financial markets ecosystem.
The Opportunity
The Sales Director will be responsible for driving new business and strategic account growth across hedge funds, asset managers, banks, and institutional trading organizations. This role requires a consultative enterprise seller with strong knowledge of capital markets workflows and experience selling complex fintech or SaaS solutions into sophisticated financial institutions.
The ideal candidate is highly entrepreneurial, commercially driven, and comfortable engaging senior stakeholders across trading, operations, technology, and risk functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and execute territory strategy focused on institutional financial services clients in the Northeast region
- Generate and close new enterprise opportunities with hedge funds, asset managers, banks, and broker-dealers
- Build relationships with senior decision-makers including Heads of Trading, CIOs, CTOs, COOs, Portfolio Managers, and Risk leaders
- Lead consultative sales cycles from discovery through contract negotiation and close
- Position integrated solutions spanning trading workflows, portfolio management, execution management, analytics, and risk oversight
- Partner closely with solutions engineering and product specialists to deliver tailored demonstrations and business cases
- Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline management within CRM systems
- Represent the company at industry conferences, client events, and networking forums
- Provide market feedback and competitive insights to leadership and product teams
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of enterprise sales experience within fintech, capital markets technology, or institutional SaaS
- Proven track record of exceeding quota and closing complex enterprise deals
- Strong understanding of institutional trading and investment workflows
- Experience selling into hedge funds, asset managers, banks, or broker-dealers
- Knowledge of one or more of the following:
- EMS / OMS / OEMS platforms
- Portfolio management systems
- Multi-asset trading workflows
- Risk analytics and exposure management
- Fixed income, derivatives, or cross-asset trading technology
- Excellent executive communication and presentation skills
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing network within the NYC institutional financial markets community
- Experience selling front-office trading or risk technology
- Familiarity with cloud-based SaaS and API-driven financial platforms
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related discipline
