About the Role
SALES LEAD needed at one of our STARTUP CRM/VDR clients!!! Remote anywhere on the east coast with a preference for NYC area. Base $130k - $180k x2 OTE with an industry leading commission structure! Must have 5 - 15 years of experience selling SaaS into hedge funds, asset managers and/or PE firms if you have experience selling CRM/VDR solutions. Must have a true startup mindset and be highly motivated with a ton of energy.
Our client is a SaaS vendor serving hedge funds across the US, Europe, and APAC. They've become the market’s go-to CRM for Sales, Marketing, and Investor Relations teams, with 100+ hedge fund clients relying on their platform daily, including numerous high-profile launches in 2025.
Their CRM is the only system built by a founder with a decade inside a hedge fund, and their VDR integrates directly into CRM to provide IR teams with a frictionless, branded experience.
As they expand across the US, Europe, and APAC, they are bringing on a senior sales leader to co-run global CRM and VDR sales alongside another experienced sales leader. Together, the two of you will drive growth of both products.
What You’ll Do:
- Co-Lead global CRM & VDR sales across the US, Europe, and APAC — from outreach to close.
- Drive lead generation through targeted outbound, events, and industry networking.
- Build relationships with primes, fund admins, and outsourced COO/CFO groups to create steady referral channels.
- Serve as a trusted liaison during evaluation and after the sale — training clients, answering product questions, and ensuring they get the most value from their CRM and VDR. You will be the strategic point of contact who helps clients adopt the platform smoothly and confidently.
- Channel market feedback to product and engineering to help shape roadmap priorities.
Expectations:
- You have impeccable written and verbal communication skills
- You are able to generate leads on your own.
- You must obtain a deep command of their CRM, Investor Portal, and VDR, becoming a credible subject matter expert in client conversations.
- You thrive in an environment that demands responsiveness beyond traditional 9-to-5 hours — the pace required to serve hedge fund clients and to help build a premium, industry-defining brand.
- You're comfortable with ambiguity, able to work independently, and energized by the fast pace and high standards of a growing startup.
---
Requirements:
- Experience running B2B SaaS sales in in investment management or adjacent capital markets roles.
- Exceptional communication, follow-through, and customer empathy.
- Experience running targeted outbound independently (without marketing and SDRs) with multi-step cadence and generating leads in B2B SaaS.
- Startup mindset — scrappy, fast, independent, able to break through walls when needed.
- Nice to have:
- Existing relationships with primes, fund admins, or outsourced COO/CFO groups.
Why Them:
- A rare opportunity for true upside — uncapped commissions today, plus meaningful long-term upside if you help build this into a category-defining business. At a liquidity event, the payout can be meaningful in a way few roles offer.
- Credibility in the market — their CRM is the go-to choice for new hedge fund launches, which means faster sales cycles, higher close rates, and stronger earnings potential. When prospects already trust the brand through peer recommendations and prime broker referrals, you spend less time on education and objection handling, and more time closing deals.
- A product clients love — which means you'll spend your time expanding relationships and closing new deals, not managing frustrated users or apologizing for bugs.
- High visibility & impact — You work directly with founders to shape go-to-market strategy, influence product roadmap, and drive company growth. Your wins are highly visible, your insights directly inform strategic direction, and this kind of outcome accelerates careers.
- A chance to build something truly meaningful — it’s deeply satisfying to build a business that re-shapes the software landscape on Wall Street.
