VP OF SALES needed at one of our clients that provides data analytics, reporting and data management solutions to hedge funds. Base $220k - $235k and OTE around $400k uncapped. Preference is NYC (hybrid), SF or Boston (hybrid) but can be remote anywhere in the US for the right candidate. Must have experience selling SaaS or services (i.e. Fund Admin) into the middle/back office of hedge funds with a very strong network. This is a true hunter role and you will be sourcing your own leads so must have strong new logo sales experience.


We’re looking for an experienced Sales Leader to drive new business through proactive outbound sales efforts, leveraging existing personal networks within hedge funds, credit funds, and asset management firms. This is a hunter role with significant opportunity, responsible for identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities, with robust support from our dedicated client solutions team for technical demonstrations. The role requires an individual who can quickly leverage existing relationships, navigate complex sales cycles, and manage opportunities through to closure, supported by an exceptional commission structure.


Key Responsibilities:
• Drive outbound sales by proactively identifying and contacting prospects within hedge funds (particularly long-short equity funds), credit funds, and asset management firms.
• Leverage personal industry relationships and a robust professional network to generate opportunities.
• Qualify leads by understanding client strategies, technology needs, and business challenges.
• Manage and progress qualified leads through the sales pipeline, including coordinating product demonstrations with the client solutions team.
• Actively participate in demonstrations and manage all post-demo activities, including follow-ups, negotiations, and contract closures.
• Consistently achieve or exceed sales quotas, contributing directly to the firm's growth trajectory.

Required Experience & Skills:
• Minimum of 10-20 years’ sales experience, ideally in a fintech, portfolio analytics, data management, or related field serving hedge funds and asset managers.
• Extensive existing relationships and proven track record selling into the hedge fund and broader institutional investment community.
• Strong credibility with CFOs, COOs, Portfolio Managers, Traders, and IR professionals in target client segments.
• Exceptional pipeline management and deal-closing abilities.
• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and comfortable working autonomously in a high growth environment.
• Comfortable as an independent contributor with the ability to hunt for new opportunities.
